Born in Charleroi, Belgium, Jean-Marie Ghislain came to photography in a natural way, always passionate about light, he attends photography courses at the Institut Saint-Luc in Liège. It was not until 2009 that he put his photographic sensitivity at the service of a cause: the defense of the oceans and its inhabitants and this is how he confronted his historical fear of water and sharks. In the company of his wife Leina, a freediver, he devotes almost all of his time to meet large marine animals, mainly cetaceans.
